LDTS
In-Depth Review
LDTS:
A Complete Review
The Long-Distance Training Solution target is made up of 4 lanes, each with their own individual purpose.
Lane 1 - Zero & Practice
Lane 2 - Target Scaling
Lane 3 - Elevation
Lane 4 - Elevation & Windage
Explore these lanes separately in each subsequent video.
LANE 1:
Zero & Practice
The Zero & practice lane of the LDTS is designed to
give you every chance to zero your rifle / scope.
It is the only lane where the precise gridlines appear OVER each bullseye, so you can tell exactly how far off your zero is.
With 8 bullseyes, not only will it give you enough to zero, but you will have plenty left over for practice.
LANE 2:
Target Scaling
The Target Scaling lane has two main functions:
1. It gives you an exact representation of what a 10 inch target would look like through your scope, at all the varying yardages that are marked by each bullseye.
2. In conjunction with our included (and downloadable) DOPE card, you can verify the distance to target using your reticle and a simple calculator.
3. It provides smaller and smaller targets, which simulate farther and farther distances, allowing you to practice and improve your trigger control.
LANE 3:
Elevation
The Elevation lane teaches you how to dial in a firing solution using a DOPE card. The idea is that you will select one of the bullseyes in the lane, refer to the included DOPE card to determine the elevation setting, then dial your scope's elevation turret accordingly.
In our system, we give you a Point Of Aim (POA) at which you will AIM. If your firing solution is correct, when fired, your shot will hit the intended Point Of Impact (POI), or the bullseye you selected at the beginning.
LANE 4:
Elevation & Windage
The Elevation & Windage lane offers the same functionality as the Elevation lane, only adding the complexity of wind.
Each target in Lane 4 is not only set to certain ELEVATION, but they are also all offset from the POA bullseye. Therefore, your firing solution, as seen on the DOPE, will also require you to dial your scope's WINDAGE turret. Once you have your correct firing solution dialed in, AIM at the POA bullseye, fire, and IMPACT the intended bullseye.
